I'm a quitter

I got a little in  over my head when I started the 30 day photo challenge. I knew that I wouldn't be able to do it every day and was hoping to get caught up but it has just been too much for me to catch up now.  Not to mention, I am not completely familiar with all of the settings on my DSLR and I haven't had the chance to sit down and figure it all out.  I wish I knew how to do long exposure, sillouettes, etc.. :(  I really want to improve my photography skills before I take on a challenge like this.

On a good note.  90% of our house is unpacked.  I finished unpacking and hanging up/organizing the girls clothes.  I've separated what will go on a garage sale this fall and have their closets and dressers organized for summer/fall/winter.  Now I just have to work on mine and Kevin's closet.  I plan on tackling that this weekend.

Once that is done, I will be able to somewhat relax and get back into the groove of things.  We still have several boxes that need to be gone through and see what needs pitched/sold/etc.  One day at a time, and I can't really do it when Kevin's not here either. So that will just have to wait til he's home!

Anyways.. I thought by doing the photo challenge would help me update my blog more often, but really it kept me away from it for almost 2 weeks.  I do have some things to blog about and I will be updating soon, so stay tuned!

Day 4: Something Green

Something Green, Army green.
This cell phone picture doesn't do this justice.  It was quite awesome.  The girls and I were sitting on the deck and I heard Lauren say "airplane!" and I turned around to see this flying right over us heading towards the airport that is only a couple miles away.  This pictures makes it appear far away but it was really very close to us.  I am going to have my DSLR ready and within reach from now on so we can get a better picture.
I'm not sure exactly what the plane is called, but it was one of those giant, army green, cargo planes.  I'm sure Kevin would know the exact make and model of it, but I like my description better.  Giant, Army GREEN, Cargo plane.  :)

Day 3: Clouds

A little late bc of our move but I intend to catch up.  Arent these clouds neat looking? I took this from our deck at our new townhouse.

Day 2: What I am wearing.

Nothing fancy. Old Navy black sundress. I have 3 of these comfy things in different colors/patterns. I love throwing these on for lounging on these crazy hot days!

30 Day Photo Challenge

I have linked up with Erica @ Our Beautiful Chaos for this photo challenge!  Lately it's been tough to find inspiration to blog.  Our life has been a little nutty and I don't think it's going to settle down anytime soon.  I thought this would be a fun way to keep up on my blog without having to think too much!  My DSLR camera is packed away at this moment so the first few weeks I will just be using my phone.

Day One : Self Portrait.

Let it be known that this wasn't the first picture I took  before I approved it to be "post worthy".  Honestly, 3 years ago, you wouldn't have caught me dead without makeup on and my hair done.  In fact today, I am surprised that I actually have my hair clean and blow dried.  You are getting me in this picture, completely vulnerable, bare faced, somewhat self conscious, but happy.  Happy that I have a man that loves me no matter what I look like.  I may be in yoga pants and not a drop of make up on my face, but when I look like this, he still makes me feel like I am the most gorgeous woman in the world.
