Potty Training Update

I have been reluctant to write anything for fear of jinxing myself, but potty training has been going fantastic! 
I had said in my previous post that I was going to start the "next day".  Which I didn't.  It was Kevin's last weekend before he went back to work and we wanted a little freedom to go and see what we pleased and not be stuck inside.
We've been talking for months about "throwing diapers away and being a big girl".  We told her she could pick out a new potty...for the 3rd time, (we have 3 bathrooms, so it's justified...HA)  and then from now she would only be wearing big girl underpants and no more diapers.  She was actually quite excited.  She picked out a simple, pink potty that looked like a frog, and home we went.  We asked her if she wanted to sit on her potty while she played with her toys and she agreed.   We tried for about 30 min and finally she went. Of course we made a huge deal out of it and we danced and played. She chose bubbles as her prize.  We were off to a good start. We put her to bed that night in a pull up and she woke up the next morning dry.  She went again.  Awesome. We chose to still go to church, we put her in a pull up (which she does not like) and went to church.  We were gone almost 2 hours but she didn't have accident and went when we got home. 
She did have 2 accidents/day for the first 3 days and they only happened when she was playing outside.  Not bad at all if you ask me.  Day 4 was awesome.  No accidents, a 2 hour trip away from home, and stayed dry the whole day.
I thought we were on a roll, then she threw me for a loop and had 3 major accidents on Thursday.  We were all a little bummed because she had been doing so great, we had planned on taking her to the zoo on Friday.  We had to scratch that and devise a new potty training plan and be a little more attentive to her needs.  It was obvious she wasn't 100% ready to be in control of it that she needed reminders from us still. 
Thursday evening we decided to take a different approach and instead of waiting for her to tell us she had to potty, we would make her sit on the potty atleast every 90 min- 2 hours and before anything important (i.e. going on a walk, taking bath, going outside to play).  It worked like a charm.  Sure, there wasn't as much pee in the potty but she was going and she wasn't holding to the point of "OMG, I'm going to pee my pants" stage.
Friday and today have been great as well. No accidents day or night. 
We still have times that we remind her to go, but she still takes the initiative to let us know if she has to go too. So far, 7 days of no diapers, the last 6 have been only big girl undewear, not even any pull ups for our big girl! 
Overall, we are super proud of our BIG girl who is doing amazing.  It's been a long road to this point, but the wait was worth it and I would wait til almost 3 again in a heartbeat.
