Ladies and Gents...we have a little chunker!
At the office I work at...or used to work at, the health dept. has an office where they do well checks for infants. I took Lauren in there the other day to just be weighed and measured because they didn't tell me at her 4 month check.
5 month stats:
Weight- 17 lbs 15 oz
Height- 26 3/4 inches
She is getting so big.
Lauren's new thing is to squeal. She squeals when she is happy, mad, sad, etc. It is really cute, but so high pitched! I'm not exactly sure how she figured out how to do it. I'm guessing she learned it from watching the American Idol auditions with me! I will have a video to post very soon.
Lauren is now eating solids. She eats cereal at least once a day and fruits and veggies 2 times throughout the day. Her favorites so far are bananas, carrots, prunes, peas, and squash. She doesn't care for peaches or green beans. Within the last week she has been refusing to eat her rice cereal. Even with her fruit mixed in she just pinches her lips shut. It is very frustrating. I may try her on some oatmeal cereal if this keeps up. She isn't starving that's for sure. She still drinks 4-5 bottles a day (from the time she wakes up til she's back asleep again) along with her solids 1-3 times a day depending on if she will eat or not. If I give her just plain fruits, she gobbles them up!!
Lauren is getting very close to being mobile. She can already roll from front to back and back to front, both left and right. She can move her self in a circle on her belly but can't quite figure out how to get forward yet. It will come soon though. She is already pushing her butt in the air and we've seen a tiny bit of an army crawl on one or two occasions. I think it will come just in time to be in a new place and a new opportunity to move everything up one shelf!
I have been loving my time home with Lauren this last week. It will be great to be with Kevin and Lauren down in Kansas within the next week or two. Lauren and I miss him very much!

What a big girl! :) It sure doesn't take them long once they figure out they can be mobile! Best of luck with the move!
